The paper discusses a coordinated on-off switching method to optimize beamforming in massive full-dimensional multiple input multiple output (Massive-FD-MIMO) systems at 3.5 GHz, focused on reducing energy consumption while maintaining effective communication with multiple user equipment (UE).
