The Downtown Community Survey conducted by the City and County of Honolulu aimed to gather residents' perceptions regarding their neighborhood and potential transit-oriented developments near three planned rail stations. Key findings indicate that while residents value the neighborhood's convenience and accessibility, they also express concerns about crime, noise, and housing costs, with strong support for improving streetscaping and transit services. Additionally, there is significant interest in enhancing community amenities and addressing homelessness, alongside a preference for low to mid-rise developments near the new rail stations.
