- 1. Draft 2 Audience Feedback & Targets By Luca, Ben, Sam and Jamaal
- 2. What did our Audience like? Firstly, our audience really liked the idea of the syringe, it related to the medical aspect of the horror and make the sequence even more scary. Secondly, our audience much preferred the intro for our production company, it was much less action orientated than the previous one, however we still plan to improve it. Thirdly, our audience preferred the text and overall credits to our previous ones, however there were still some concerns and we will aim to improve them for our next draft. Lastly, our audience were intrigued by the opera music, and although there were some concerns, they felt that we could build upon our idea and if done right, would intensify the scary aspect of our sequence.
- 3. What did our audience dislike? Firstly, our audience disliked the abrupt change in pace and tone from the almost action music to the opera, this confused the audience. Secondly, our audience believed that the second song made the sequence more of an action sequence and was to intense and not suspenseful enough. Thirdly, our audience also believed that the text needed small improvements in order to make it look the best for our setting. They suggested making it white in order to represent the cleanliness of the the location. Lastly, our audience believed that the opening shots didn't make it clear that it was a dentist surgery.
- 4. What will we change for Draft 3? Firstly, we will make small adjustments to the text of the credits, we will make it white and try a serif font. We will also show the credits with a black screen in order to create temporal ellipsis for the storyline. Secondly, we will return back to wearing the white lab coat instead of the shirt and tie. We will also add more coloring to our fake blood in order to make it darker and more realistic. Furthermore, we will focus on making the cinematic shots more obvious, by showing more of the surgery with each one in order to show the audience that it is a dental surgery. Lastly, we will make the opera music diegetic and therefore will make the dentist seem even more creepy and will not confuse the audience, we will also make this the primary audio for our draft 3.
