- 1. The reds who have missed out on the champions league this season weremost sureto gain the fourth position in the Barclays premier league when Liverpool were left at fifth place. They have a two legged game in august 18th ,19th and 25th ,26th . UEFA have decided to do a champions league roulette between the fourth and fifth position teams in each of the seven leagues. Manchester United are the mostconfident that they will pass through the champions league qualifier becausethey are the highest rank team there and they will be playing against teams who are not as strong as them. If the champions league winners arealso their domestic league winners, then the champions of the eighth-ranked country which would be the Netherlands. The final four teams in each of the groups willcome from the fourth and third position which will features sides which have made it through the earlier qualifying process who could be either Juventus or Barcelona because they have automatic entry into the champions league.
