Heuristic Evaluation of D’Source Website
Sreeraman M.G, Jaison, Ramprasad, Astha, Vrushali, Prashant, Pritam
User wants to submit content
to D’Source but he cannot find
the link
User might miss the ‘No Data Found’ information
as it is small and away from the ‘Result for:’
heading
User can get confused as to which ‘tab’ he is
under.
Clickable area is too small. User has to be really
careful to hit the triangle icon to submit the form
Text is too small and
causes strain while
reading for long
periods.
Text is too small and
lot of items. Very
stressful to go through
the entire list.
Not clear as to which tab the user is in
as each link has a different color
User clicked on the alphabetic sorting
expectiing an option to skip between
letters but such an option was not
there
User clicked on the image expecting to
be taken to a page with more details on
that image but the page just reloaded
User wanted to skip through the items fast as he felt the
speed was too low but realised that there were no controls
for skipping images
User wanted to see all the course under a particular department like
VC, PD, IN etc but realised that there is no such classification
Lot of blank spaces in the video pages. User confused as to whether some
content was supposed to load in that space or not. Lot of the misalignments
in this page.
For pages with longer content, user had to scroll up to see
the navigation links within the project
