Our Holy Slogan
“Dhan Dhan Satguru
Tera Hi Aasra”
‘Dhan Dhan’ (only God is worth praising) — ‘Satguru’ (the
Supreme Being) which is synonymous with the words Om, Allah,
Waheguru, Ram, Parmatma, God, etc., as used in many of the
world’s religions — ‘Tera Hi Asra’ (we are solely dependent on
HIM and only HE can help us in all challenges).
About Dera Sacha Sauda
Dera Sacha Sauda is a Social Welfare & Spiritual Organization that
preaches and practices humanitarianism and selfless services to
others. The main center of the ashram is located in Sirsa (northern
India). More than 60 million people around the world are faithful
followers of the organization. Spiritual seekers learn to meditate and
follow the principles laid down by Revered Guruji.
His Holiness Beparawah Mastana Ji Maharaj founded Dera Sacha
Sauda on April 29th, 1948 to encourage spiritual awakening among
the masses, to uplift humanity, and to create a better world. HE
hailed from Baluchistan, part of present-day Pakistan. With devotion
and hard work, Maharaj Ji transmuted the barren land of Sirsa into a
spiritual garden and imparted the glorious method of meditation to
HIS followers. The slogan “Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra,”
which Dera’s devotees chant at the Ashram, elucidates the kindness
of God Almighty as our savior.

About Dera Sacha Sauda
His Excellency Guruji preached about following the path of truth,
humanity, and hard work.In 1960, HE handed over the rein of Dera to
HIS spiritual successor, Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj.
Mastana Ji Maharaj merged with the divine light on April 18th, 1960.
Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj made the ground of Sri
Jalalana Sahib a holy site by incarnating Himself there on 25th January
1919. His Holiness served mankind for thirty years (1960-1990) and
enlightened many people on the path to emancipation by showering the
blessings of Gurumantra upon them. HE composed myriad hymns and
wrote several holy books.
His Exalted Holiness passed the Divine apostleship of Dera Sacha
Sauda to revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan on
September 23rd, 1990. Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj shed His human
attire and proceeded back to “Nij-Dham” (eternal abode) on December

About Dera Sacha Sauda
Most Revered Hazoor Pita Saint Dr.Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan glorified the vicinity of Shri Gurusar Modia(District
Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan) and made it one of the holiest places by incarnating Himself as a human being on August
15th,1967.
The present Master has been instrumental in leading the humanitarian endeavors. During HIS apostleship, Dera has scaled
glorious heights as per the holy sermons of Beparwah Mastana Ji and Param Pita Ji. For the holy congregations, several
branches of Dera have been established worldwide. Presently, Dera has undertaken 133 social welfare activities like helping
in road accidents and working for the protection of daughters from heinous fetal murder and solemnizing the marriages of
harlots by inspiring them to quit this abhorrent profession. Dera has set up educational institutions to provide materialistic and
spiritualistic knowledge,i.e., a holistic growth.
Furthermore, Dera is running three specialty hospitals in Sirsa and one in Sri Gurusar Modia too, where health services are
provided to the indigent free of cost. Ashram has the largest international eye bank named ‘Poojaneeya Mata Kartar Kaur Ji
International Eye Bank’. This is a confluence of all the religions and offers due regards to every one of them. Devotees from
various faiths, be it Hinduism, Muslim, Christian, Sikhism, or Judaism, all visit Dera Sacha Sauda frequently with all respect
and devotion.
This paramount institution extends all types of help and cooperation to the deprived and dejected ones. His Excellency Guruji
has composed hundreds of enchanting hymns and two books have been published encapsulating those holy songs. Beautiful,
heart-piercing rhymes bring ecstasy to the readers.
In Dera Sacha Sauda 25th of January is celebrated annually as the birthday ceremony of Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj. Guruji
presents memento of affection to the volunteers who are involved in selfless services. As billions congregate, there is a
rapture bursting forth. It is amazing that on this day, food is served to nearly three million people within half an hour.
Vision:
Dera Sacha Sauda envisions an egalitarian, conflict-free and
peaceful world where the inner spiritual realization,
self-confidence, and attainment of God are foremost through the
practice of true meditation. The world order will be free of social
evils, exploitation and sinful conduct. Practically the women will
find their rightful place in society.
All discrimination shall cease to exist and it will be a just world,
devoid of fear, anxiety and where the entire mankind will strive to
serve fellow human beings and nurture the environment too and
secure the future of the planet.
Mission:
● To freely propagate true meditation throughout the world to
attain inner self-confidence and see God.
● To educate people that God can be found only by true
meditation learned from a selfless true master and not with
money.
● To see the world as one, and believe in the same ONE God.
● To promote love and tolerance amongst people of all
religions, castes, color and regions without any
discrimination.
● To promote the adoption of drug and alcohol-free,
meat/egg/fish free diet and restore correct values and
character.
● To promote morality and convince people about the harms
of immorality, promiscuity, and high-risk behavior.
Reaching the Pinnacle
Social Evolution
To implement welfare activities smoothly and to reach
every level of society, welfare teams of volunteers are
organized in a disciplined way. There are groups at
every level, from national, regional, state, district, and
block to village levels. Furthermore, a dedicated
special group, “Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare
Force Wing,” has been formed in order to rehabilitate
people who have been affected by natural disasters.
Presently, there are around seventy thousand
dedicated volunteers in this group, including doctors,
engineers, renowned scientists, highly designated
officers, and teachers. Dera Sacha Sauda also
provides food, shelter, and clothing to the
underprivileged.
Reaching the Pinnacle
Crusades against Social Evils
His Holiness Guru Ji is bent upon eradicating social evils such as
prostitution, female feticide, and others. The motivation from His
Excellency Guru Ji has resulted in bringing forth approximately 1500 noble
souls, who are ready to marry the ex-prostitutes.
Academic Advancements
To provide education to all, separate schools for boys and girls, are formed,
run and managed by Dera. Merit scholarship and free education are
provided to the needy. Apart from educational knowledge, spiritual and
holistic development is an integral part of our teaching. Our students, with
the balance of learning and spiritual guidance of His Holiness, have
achieved exemplary feats in academics as well as in national and
international sports. Our students have also created history in 12th Asian
Games.
Reaching the Pinnacle
A Messiah
Three hospitals providing allopathic, homeopathic, ayurvedic and natural
treatments are built to serve humanity. Our emergency mobile hospital,
Farishta, is recorded in the Limca Book of World Records for its size, agility,
and facilities. Dera Sacha Sauda is actively working to provide the best
health care to all. We provide artificial limbs, wheelchairs, encourage body
donation, conduct monthly health camps, manage the True HAPPY (Heart
Attack Prevention Program for You) Program, etc.
Reaching the Pinnacle
Agricultural Training Centre
Our advanced agricultural training
center uses the latest
technologies to promote organic
farming in the most efficient way.
Farming is the prime source of
income for the organization. The
consistent efforts by our
volunteers and blessings of His
Excellency Guru Ji have
converted the rocky surface into
the fertile land.
Reaching the Pinnacle
A Ray of Hope
We strive to help people lead a healthy life far from the evil trap of
drugs and other addictions. Our center has cured critical addicts
who used to take 70 Fortwin injections, 15 gm Smack drugs,
consumed 20 bottles of alcohol daily and other addictions with help
of Naam Shabad, and rendering selfless services within a week
without any medicine, which is a miracle in itself.
Reaching the Pinnacle
Optimism for Bereft
Shahi Betiyan Basera (Abode for Royal Daughters)
To prevent female feticide and create awareness, Respected
Guru Ji established Shahi Betiyan Basera. Girls, who have
been orphaned, deserted, or rescued from feticide, are
adopted by Guru Ji as HIS own daughters and provided
proper family care. So far, 29 girls have been adopted by
Guru Ji and provided a respectful life. We urge people
unwilling or unable to care for a girl child to leave her at the
Ashram rather than kill the unborn baby.
Reaching the Pinnacle

to provide education
and training to orphaned

order to help them
become self-sustained.
Currently, there are over

Light to the blinds
Our yearly eye camp held 13th–15th of December, is one of
the largest in the world. Over 15,000 eye replacements have
been conducted since 1992. This camp is organized to
commemorate Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj.
Saviour of Life
Our massive blood donation camps have been recorded in
The Guinness Book of World Records many times and have
earned us the name of Blood Pump. On 8th August 2010,
43,732 units of blood were donated on a single day, creating
a new record in The Guinness Book of World Records. The
sole purpose of these camps is to help humanity. We supply
600 to 1000 units of blood to India Defense on a monthly
basis.
Reaching the Pinnacle
Greening the Environment
Dera Sacha Sauda followers celebrated the
48th incarnation anniversary of His Holiness
Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan
by planting saplings in their respective areas
and taking care of them as if they were their
own children. This initiative has been recorded
in The Guinness Book of World Records with
6,873,451 saplings planted in a single day.
Other noted initiatives include holding
cleanliness drives and encouraging water
conservation.
Principles of Dera Sacha Sauda
1. In Dera Sacha Sauda all religions are equally honoured and welcomed.
2. Dera Sacha Sauda believes in humanity as the greatest religion and is involved in the true service of humanity. The
poor, helpless and sick are helped here in every possible manner.
3. In Dera Sacha Sauda no discrimination is made among people on the basis of rich and poor, inferior and superior,
etc.
4. Dera Sacha Sauda does not accept any offerings, donations or fees for the meditation that is taught here.
5. Dera Sacha Sauda rejects the false customs, malpractices, superficiality and deceit that happen in the name of
religion.
6. The Truth is taught at Dera Sacha Sauda and inspiration given to walk on the path of Truth. Prabhu, Paramatma,
Ram, Allah, Waheguru, God is the only Truth and the method of meditating on Him is taught here. One need not
change one’s religion or outward appearance in order to practice this meditation.
Principles of Dera Sacha Sauda
7. Dera Sacha Sauda is an assembly of pure spirituality and only the method of connecting man with God is taught
here.
8. Dera Sacha Sauda does not have any links with politics.
9. The assembly of Dera Sacha Sauda is decorated with the virtues of humility, modesty, simplicity and truthfulness.
Only he who adopts these virtues is worthy of praise.
10. Consumption of alcohol and other intoxicants is strictly prohibited in Dera Sacha Sauda.
11. The cardinal rules of DSS are to not eat non-vegetarian food, to not consume alcohol, and for men and women to
consider persons other than their spouses as either mother, sister or daughter, or father, brother or son.
12. DSS strongly opposes customs like the dowry system and other social ills. It discourages the superficial rituals
and unreasonable expenditure related to births, deaths and marriages. At the Satsangs conducted by DSS,
marriages are conducted in the presence of the Sadh-Sangat in a simple manner by exchanging garlands.
Principles of Dera Sacha Sauda
13. DSS believes in earning one’s livelihood through hard work and rightful means. The celibate volunteers of the
Dera work for 15 to 18 hours a day and they practice meditation. It is only by earning one’s bread through rightful
means that one gets peace of mind and makes rapid progress in spirituality.
14. DSS strictly opposes theft, dishonesty, bribery and corruption. People here are inspired to walk on the path of truth
and honesty and serve humanity as this is necessary in today’s age.
15. At the Satsangs conducted by DSS separate arrangements are made for men and women to sit, dine and sleep.
The arrangements for men are taken care of by men and those for women by women.Whoever abides by the
above sacred rules of DSS and meditates on Allah, Ram, Waheguru, God, he/she will be blessed with the
happiness of both worlds, he/she will find God, and his/her soul will attain to salvation.
About Jaam-E-Insan
umanitarianism is dying. The morals and values that were the cornerstone of
good conduct are vanishing fast. Religion, caste and color have become
reasons for society to erupt into riots.
In the face of these challenges, where hate has become the world’s chosen
creed, Guru Ji started a custom of the pledge for humanitarianism, called the
‘Nectar of the Humanitarianism’, this pledge includes partaking a Holy drink
made from milk, water and rose essence. The purpose of pledge is to renew the
commitment of those who have learnt meditation, to always stay on the path of
righteousness and humanitarianism.
The pledge was started by Guru Ji on 29th April 2007. Millions have partaken
the Nectar and dedicating themselves to society as evolved human beings.
Thousands of people have reported that their incurable diseases have been
cured. HIV cases are on record where viral counts have become undetectable
and even congenitally blind patients have started seeing. Guru Ji says, in all
humility, “The faith and devotion of the meditator can work wonders, as the
grace of God, is boundless.”

  • 20. About Jaam-E-Insan umanitarianism is dying. The morals and values that were the cornerstone of good conduct are vanishing fast. Religion, caste and color have become reasons for society to erupt into riots. In the face of these challenges, where hate has become the world’s chosen creed, Guru Ji started a custom of the pledge for humanitarianism, called the ‘Nectar of the Humanitarianism’, this pledge includes partaking a Holy drink made from milk, water and rose essence. The purpose of pledge is to renew the commitment of those who have learnt meditation, to always stay on the path of righteousness and humanitarianism. The pledge was started by Guru Ji on 29th April 2007. Millions have partaken the Nectar and dedicating themselves to society as evolved human beings. Thousands of people have reported that their incurable diseases have been cured. HIV cases are on record where viral counts have become undetectable and even congenitally blind patients have started seeing. Guru Ji says, in all humility, “The faith and devotion of the meditator can work wonders, as the grace of God, is boundless.”
