The OECD's Development Assistance Committee (DAC) has conducted peer reviews of its members' development programs for 50 years. The reviews assess performance against common standards to improve quality and effectiveness through learning. Each member undergoes a review every 4-5 years by examiners from two other members and the DAC Secretariat. The reviews identify recommendations, and follow-ups check their implementation. The process aims to enhance mutual accountability and sharing of best practices among DAC members.
