Sheego originally built their e-commerce site on Intershop but moved to the OXID framework, which does not have built-in caching like Intershop. In 2014, Sheego started using open-source Varnish caching to improve site performance and in 2015 upgraded to Varnish Plus for professional support, monitoring tools, and high availability capabilities. This has led to advanced caching, less staff time needed for monitoring and support, and improved availability of content for their customers.
