Terms of Reference E-commerce WG
• Draft terms of reference
- To draft a specific 5 year work program, aimed at implementing the policy recommendations relating to e-commerce as contained in the
Integrated ICT Policy Review Report. The work program will focus in the main on the following work streams:
Core (execute)
o ICT Infrastructure & internet access
o Application and cloud services
o Mobile and online payment services
o Logistics(postal & courier) and order fulfilment
Non-core (leverage stakeholders)
o SMME development
o Consumer protection and awareness
o Legal, regulatory and taxation
- To establish and assign responsibilities to working group members in line with the work program
- To monitor the work of the various members to ensure there is progress
- To ensure that all the social partners are represented in the working group
- Compile quarterly reports for the Chairpersons meetings
- To engage various stakeholders to ensure contributions to the work of the working group
- Collect and analyze data from relevant sources to ensure effective policy implementation
