Shorenstein Realty Services uses data from various sources like Enernoc and ENERGYSTAR to manage its portfolio of buildings. Data is used to optimize daily operations, analyze consumption patterns, and manage demand to meet sustainability targets. While data helps with goals like a 20% reduction in energy use by 2020, the company still needs equipment-level data and a way to aggregate all data sources into one location. Over the summer, an intern helped by creating an internal template for audits, streamlining existing data, piloting waste tracking, and automating utility data collection and validation across 400 utility accounts and 24 tenants to further aid in reporting and analysis.
