EDF Pulse is a worldwide programme designed to foster
innovation.

It is about EDF inspiring progress with inventors and
innovators.

EDF Pulse will be a trigger for the most innovative projects that
use electricity for driving society forward.
CATEGORIES FOR
The ‘EDF Pulse Electricity & Smart Living Awards’ represent EDF’s
engagement for progress in three areas: home, mobility and health:
•  Home covers projects dealing with clean tech, more energy
efficient and environment friendly housing.
•  Mobility covers projects dealing with solutions and services to
meet society’s growing mobility requirements and needs,
particularly those focusing on sustainable transport solutions.
•  Health deals with innovations which improve people’s health and
quality of life, intelligent healthcare technology, and
interconnected healthcare services.
BENEFITS FROM
All projects will benefit from EDF’s media power, particularly on

PULSE.EDF.COM
Each of the three winning projects will receive €35,000 prize money
and will benefit from a major advertising campaign (including TV,
web and press) promoting the first edition of the EDF Pulse
Awards.

ENTRY CRITERIA
•  Companies with fewer than 50 employees or individuals,
•  Innovations due to be launched within 24 months,
•  Projects related to electricity (use or alternative sources)

SELECTION CRITERIA
•  The need 'tackled' and the size of the market
•  The solution proposed (object or service)
•  The technological innovation delivered
•  The calibre of the team
•  The environmental and societal impact
WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM THE PROJECT TEAMS
•  A name and a visual of the project concept, as well as a

licence to use for EDF for each of these.
•  Candidates should also supply if possible, additional

promotional content such as a video introducing the
project and the team behind it. Licenses to use for EDF
must also be supplied.
