- 2. Our class was told by our teacher that we will be making a thriller movie trailer but before all of this I had to do pre-production research to prepare me and for the assignment. This will permit me to understand the conventions of a thriller film trailer. At first I didn’t know how to use the software but eventually I learnt because my teacher helped me and showed me some techniques and I also watched a YouTube video about adobe premiere elements 9 and some tricks and techniques that will help me.
- 3. This is my logo for my production company I was told to make one by my teacher this is because the audience can then identify the production company that my film was with. I designed this image on a programme which was called 2D design v2 firstly I got a image of the money on Google and then changed the background to black then I put a circle and changed the colour to yellow and then I added a nice looking font to go with the image and this is how it came out. To make my trailer more realistic I added a production company logo in the beginning of the trailer.
- 4. Because it was my first time on this software I wasn’t really confident about using the software so I was playing about and watched some video’s on YouTube this helped me and gave me a better understanding of the software and how you use it.
- 5. Before I started editing and putting on clips to the software I created folders to make me more organised and it will make it easier to find the shots I need and it will also save time for me so that was very handy for me.
- 6. I started editing my trailer e.g. cutting down some bits of some scenes also adding effects and also adding audio and inter titles to make it more understandable. I had to shorten some parts because it wasn’t good shots so I took off all the bad parts and trimmed it down also I shortened to make it fast and to make it more thriller dramatic. Also my teacher told me I need to change the scene above because the lighting was poor so I jus added a light effect it helped a lot and saved a lot of time instead of going and recording it again.

As you can see in this picture there is someone speaking on the phone when we were filming there was some unnecessary sound in the background which was not supposed to be there so what we done was trim it. As you can see there is no parts that need rendering because its green at some parts it went red this means you need it render it or it will freeze most of the time. As you can see that bar tells you what you are going to put the footage on for example audio that’s the sound you can make it mute so you play the video and you don’t hear anything and then you can add music.
- 8. I showed my friends and my teacher my trailer and I got some feedback on what I need to improve on and also I added social sites after the trailer reached the end it showed as you can see in the picture I done this because I wanted to promote my trailer and the best way is social sites and I wanted it to be realistic.
