Hi Akshay,
I wanted to write you a quick note about Julie, who's working in your
department. She's a great asset, and I'd like to talk to you more about
her when you have time.

Hi Akshay,
I wanted to write you a quick note about Julie, who's working in your department. In
recent weeks, she's helped the “Sales” department through several demanding
deadlines on her own time.
We've got a tough upgrade project due to run over the next three months, and her
knowledge and skills would prove invaluable. Could we please have her help with this
work?
I'd appreciate speaking with you about this. When is it best to call you to discuss this
further?
Best Regards,
Tejashri G.

Effective communication skills - 7 C's of communication

Editor's Notes

  • #3: Verbal communication: talk face to face, over a phone Non-verbal every single facial expression talk about our current mind set it represent what we are feeling at that moment. Written: communication over email, messages etc Visual: best example is our mobile device, every module has been represented in terms of icon which convey its use, when we saw certain images our brain automatically send action over it. Pictorial visionary is always help full to people to memories details in short view.
  • #5: Receiver mind: consider the receiver's mind while delivering information. Gives additional information to address all questions so that receiver will not assume anything Answer all 5 W questions to avoid any incompleteness Complete information help receiver to have Better decision making. Example on-boarding new resource on the project.
  • #6: Correctness Correct information is conveyed through message. It boosts up the confidence level of the sender. It has greater impact on the audience. Free from grammatical errors and use of appropriate and correct language. Includes the accuracy and accurateness of facts and figures used in the message.
  • #7: Highlight on a specific goal or objective at a time, rather than trying to move away from track. Clarity of thoughts and ideas enhances the meaning of message. Use of exact, appropriate and concrete Words.
  • #8: Conciseness Communicate what you want to convey in least possible words. Concise communication provides short and essential message in limited words. Concise message is more engaging and ample to the audience. Concise messages are non repetitive in nature. This activity stresses the point that asking questions on the part of the listener, and being clear and concise on the part of the speaker are essential for obtaining intended results. Of course, it involves markers and drawing in class, so it’s perfect for your typical high school student. Have papers and markers set on each desk before class begins. When class begins instruct the students that there is to be absolutely no talking. Give them their instructions and do not answer any questions. Tell them to draw a circle, a triangle within the circle, a square in the corner, and to sign “your name” on the paper. In this attempt, you will be much more clear with your instructions: draw a circle four inches in diameter in the center of the paper, draw a triangle in the circle so that all three corners are touching the circle, draw a one inch square in the bottom, left corner of the paper, sign “your name” spelled Y-O-U-R-N-A-M-E on the bottom, right side of the paper.
  • #9: Being polite, kind, sensible, passionate and Convincing while communicating end users. Help each other to grow together be helpful in nature, appreciate your co-workers or friends when they do great job it help to boost their confidence. Reflects the nature and character of the sender. Give respect and then expect the same. Not at all bias in nature for person; don’t be judgmental because of last experiment listen to people and validate details then take decision.
  • #10: Concreteness Be particular and clear rather being fuzzy and general. Shows good level of confidence. Helps to strengthen the reputation of the organization. Cannot be misinterpreted.
  • #11: Consideration Must take audience into consideration by knowing the viewpoints, back ground, mindset, educational level, etc. Stepping into the shoes of others. Ensures that the self respect of the audience is maintained and their emotions are not harmed. Identify needs and requirements of the audience to achieve effective communication.
