This service learning project aims to help needy families clean their homes before Chinese New Year through collecting old newspapers and clothes from the neighborhood. The proceeds will be split, with half donated to a charitable foundation and the other half used to purchase cleaning supplies to clean homes for those in need as identified by the foundation. Students will work in groups to collect materials door-to-door on January 26th to benefit the community and experience different lifestyles while appreciating what they have.

- 3. BENEFITS Collecting newspapers will get rid of clutter in people's house. The proceeds will benefit the charitable foundation and the needy. We will be cleaning the house for them. We will be doing so because Chinese New Year is approaching and it is considered auspicious to clean homes to welcome the new year. This can spread the new year atmosphere and the people will not be so lonely and can enjoy a cleaner house for the new year. Friday, January 11, 13
- 4. PLAN TO CARRY IT OUT We will collect old clothes and newspapers from the neighbourhood. We will split half of the profits from the newspaper collection and this will be donated to EN Community Services Foundation. The other half of the profits will be used to purchase cleaning materials and to carry out a house-cleanup for the needy, as indicated by EN Community Services Foundation. Friday, January 11, 13
