Course Code: ELT 3 Course Description: Language and Learning Materials Development
Departmental Graduate Outcomes:
The graduates of SMCM will be able to:

LIT 1 – Children and Adolescent Literature
Course Description:
This course engages the pre-service English teachers in the selection, development, production, and evaluation of variety of language teaching and learning
resources based on the identified K to 12 learning competencies. Through these activities, they are able to demonstrate content knowledge on the principles and
procedures of language materials development. Students show competence in employing innovative strategies on the design and development of contextualized
and localized instructional materials that provide opportunities for meaningful, purposeful language use thereby facilitate language learning and teaching.
Course Outcomes: The following outcomes are expected to have been produced within and at the end of the term:
CO1. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding on the different use of learning materials in teaching English literature and language;
CO2. Evaluate the underlying key features of language learning materials;
CO3. Design various language learning materials considering its key features; and
CO4. Conduct a showcase of talents program wherein the development of language learning materials will be highly presented.
