How can you not talk about something that has such an impact on your life. I want to show you that you can do this but it is important to do what you are told and take action. If I can do this and learn and grow, anyone can. Believe me. On Friday 1/18, our team of Rebel Marketers (a team that is growing on a minute to minute basis), along with our team leader Niamh Arthur, got together in a lounge at the Hilton Hotel to meet each other and talk and maybe get a little clarity of what we want this weekend to do for each of us individually.

When it came to be my turn I recalled a couple of days before where I was doing my sightseeing and was going past a building, looked up and I saw some of the team leaders for Empower Network and the I recognized Rob Fore. The moment I saw him I remember thinking “I will never be on that level like those people are”. I didn’t think any more of it and went about my way to the LBJ Museum and Library. But once we had that team meeting and it was my turn, it made me mad. It made me REAL mad! I thought I had left all that junk in San Diego at the last event. Obviously, I had more to learn. My assignment for the weekend from Niamh Arthur was to go out and shake hands and interact with 10 people that had red lanyards. Now the red lanyards are worn by the top 200 in Empower Network. Then after that, I had to shake hands and interact with 1 person wearing a black lanyard and the black signifies that they are in the top 35. WOW! That’s all I knew to say was “wow”. After the meeting, I was talking to my dear friend Gen Horrall and I said “how am I gonna do that?” So she showed me, and I thought “okay, I can do that”. Well , it turned out that instead of doing 10 red lanyards, I ended up interacting and getting my picture taken with 5 black lanyards . Let me explain something real quick about myself. I am a very big believer in signs from God, from the Universe, or a Higher Power. Whatever you want to call Him. All I kept doing was running into people with the black lanyards. Out of 4000+ people at this conference, only 35 of them wearing a black lanyard, and those are the people I see. Tomorrow I will share my story about meeting Rob Fore. I was outside the hotel with a friend and we were with a small group of people and who do you think comes walking over to the group, yes, Rob Fore. I walked up to him, shook his hand and introduced myself. What I got to learn from him and the rest of the people that weekend changed my life forever. I stepped out of my crap this weekend and realized that I am just as good, I am just as worthy as any of these other people earning 6 and 7 figures a year.
- 3. Vick Strizheus – top earner in the Empower Network. Met him in the UPS office at the hotel. Even people making the kind of money he makes, take care of their business. I was buying Tylenol and he was faxing something. Just a regular guy! Dave Sharp – Co-founder of the Empower Network. Struggled with drugs and alchohol, homelessness, hopelessness. Now, is out there helping those less fortunate, helping people learn to live the life of their dreams.
- 4. David Wood – Once homeless living in his van in Hawaii. He had a vision and he acted on that vision which is now Empower Network. You can see the belief in his eyes, the belief that we are all capable of doing this and living our dream and purpose. Chuck Marshall – Even top earners have breakthroughs. Chuck Marshall had never spoken at an event. He didn’t feel comfortable speaking in front of people. This weekend, he spoke for the first time before a crowd of 4000. BREAHTHROUGH! Just sayin.

(Hint: This is one of the MOST important things you can do, the more relationships you create with people who have enjoyable conversations with you… the more likely you will grow a team that STICKS, that works side by side with you… and that you ENJOY!) - 7. Our next event is in Chicago, Ill from April 19th – 21st. It’s not in the back office yet but will be in the next couple of weeks so there’s plenty of time to plan.
