- 2. Paragraph 1 i. Sketch usually refers to a quick, informal drawing, usually done from life. ii. Sketch captures the essentials of the subject the overall form and perspective, a sense of volume, movement and feeling. iii. Sketch may be created in any medium, though pencil is the most common. iv. Sketches are often done in ink or charcoal too. Paragraph 2 i. Originated from China. Especially East & Southeast Asia. ii. Stir frying, steaming, pan frying, deep frying,poaching, boiling, braising, searing, stewing, making soup, smoking and roasting nuts. iii. It has a versatile round-bottomed. Paragraph 3 i. Sketch or drawing book are needed. ii. HB pencils are excellent for shading. iii. Standard plastic eraser is needed too.

- 4. ESSAY When we are talking about art, a sketch usually refers to a quick, informal drawing, usually done from life. Sketching is a simple, quickly-made drawing that does not have many details. Sketching is very important because it is like free writing. It is the best way to get ideas on paper and have a concrete sample image of your ideas. A sketch may be created in any medium, though pencil is the most common. Sketches are often done in ink or charcoal too.
- 5. A wok is a cooking vessel, originating from China. It’s similar to a deep frying pan and it’s also one of the most common kitchen utensils in East or Southeast Asia, as well as becoming a popular niche cookware in the rest of the world. Wok can be considered as one of the famous kitchen utensils among the Chinese.It has a versatile round-bottomed. It’s tasteless and odorless. It produce a large sound when you hit it hardly. Nextly, when you touch it with your naked hands it feels like you’re touching a hard and smooth surface basketball because of it round bottom. A wok is very versatile. It can be used in a range of different Chinese cooking techniques, such as stir frying, steaming, pan frying, deep frying,poaching, boiling, braising, searing, stewing, making soup, smoking and roasting nuts. I have selected wok as my theme is because it’s so useful fand multipurpose, and also giving everyone a great meal. There are many things to be ready before sketching. First and foremost, sketch or drawing book are definitely needed at first. If you do not have any sketch book available, you can also draw on the back of an envelope. Secondly, HB pencil is probably the most popular hardness of a pencil, because it is neither too soft nor too hard. It’s excellent for shading. Thirdly, a standard plastic eraser is needed too. Tissue paper or cotton swabs are also excellent drawing tools. Because it can blend or blur some parts of the drawing. Lastly, we have to clear our workplace before sketch, so indirectly we’ll have a clearer and fresher mindset to begin with.
- 6. I have chosen a HB pencil to begin with my sketching of a wok. Everything was done by free-handed without any assistant equipment such as ruler or compass. For the lightning region, I had rubbed a few edges and contour on the sketching wok by my thumb to make it more dim and blurred so that the whole sketching can actually stands out more and a little sight-effect are added too. I had made quite a numbers of mistake throughout this whole sketching progress. For example, when the line is not draw in accordingly or straightly I would erase and redraw it. I had taken approximately one and a half hour to finish the whole sketching work. For the reason that I took such long time to totally complete the progress is because I have done so much mistake in the midway and wasted some time to correct and rearrange it. This sketching is consider quite a tough task for me because I’m a person that doesn’t born with the hand of drawing or sketching. I’m not excellent in drawing and it has been a troublesome for me. But I’m really appreciated that I got a chance to perform my sketch. I felt so relief and relaxed after I had done with my sketch because it’s a important achievement for me. I felt so gladful at the same time and enjoyed this moment very much. Sketching is actually a interesting stuff and I wish to do more about in in the future.
