This document introduces the Three Layered Enterprise Architecture Model (TLEAM) as the main tool in the author's enterprise change and transformation toolbox. TLEAM partitions enterprise architecture models into three layers - the business-centric layer, specification-centric layer, and implementation-centric layer. Within each layer are behavioral, information/data, and auxiliary models. The document provides an overview of some of the key models and techniques that make up TLEAM, including the operating model, business capabilities model, and Unified Modeling Language. The goal of TLEAM is to provide a robust yet affordable approach to translating business vision and strategy into effective enterprise change through the use of aligned business and technology models and validation of models within contexts
