The paper proposes an Energy-efficient Routing and Re-clustering Algorithm (ERCA) for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) to address the challenges of energy constraints and network lifetime. The ERCA dynamically adjusts cluster size and transmission range to maintain node density and demonstrates a significant average increase of 285% in network lifetime while ensuring efficient filtering capacity. Key improvements include enhanced energy efficiency, extended network lifespan, and robust security against fabricated report attacks.
