Error Study of 
Samsung Corby S3650

1. While sending a message, the enCre phone 
gets occupied Cll the message is sent. Hence 
no other acCvity can be performed.

2. There is no ‘OpCons’ opCon where one can see 
the seKngs for each of the features available.

3.  When in a call, one needs to press the hold buMon to use in‐call opCons. 
This takes 2‐3 seconds in unlock.

4. While searching for a contact, the other 
contacts get blocked. So it’s diﬃcult to know 
if the contact is there on the list or not.

5. The widgets come out every now and then by mistake. And it requires one 
to open the widgets opCon again to put the applicaCon back in.

6. Call logs are not segregated. Sent, received 
messages, as well as missed, received and dialed calls 
are all listed under one category.

7. While selecCng a Cme zone, a state or 
country cannot be entered. One has to go 
through the map to FIND the country, and 
then ﬁnd the state.

Nokia 5800 Express Music 
1. The phone requires you to double click at certain opCons instead of one. Like in 
computers. 
2. The scroll bar is inconvenient to work with for a beginner.  
3. There is quick access to only four contacts. Hence, quick or speedy access can 
be done to only 4 friends at best 
4. No informaCon regarding the contact is displayed with their pictures and 
names.

5. Speed dial feature is absent. 
6. QWERTY keyboard can be used only in a horizontal view.

7. Only ABC keyboard can be used in verCcal view. For someone who ﬁnds QWERTY 
keypad more convenient will have a problem typing verCcally.

8. A small QWERTY keyboard is available. But extremely diﬃcult to work with since 
the size of the leMers becomes smaller. Although a stylus can be used to solve such a 
problem but it is easier to tap on this phone with ﬁngers or nails than the stylus.

9.  The handwriCng recogniCon is easiest to use out of all the typing opCons. Yet, it takes 
Cme to get used to it.

Summary

1. Corby has the phone profiles listed on the homescreen. And modificaCons can also be made 
in them. In the nokia 5800, on the other hand, these profiles are available but not opCon to 
make modificaCon from the homescreen. One needs to go inside in the main seKngs to make 
changes in the profile.

2. There are two available 
views to view pictures in 
a corby. As a list and as 
thumbnails. In the nokia 
only a list with small 
thumbnails is available.

3. Messages can be sent to recent contacts, groups 
and single numbers as well. Nokia 5800 lacks this 
feature.

4. A quick look buMon is 
available to view the last 
clicked picture. And all the 
other opCons relaCng to 
the camera are available 
on the screen itself. Such a 
feature is not there in the 
Corby.

5. There is an opCon of ‘snooze repeat’ 
which allows one to number the Cmes the 
phone will ring the snooze alarm. Which is 
a good feature over the nokia 5800. 
where no such opCon is available.

6. There are opCons to change the font in the corby. Which is unavailable in the 
nokia 5800.

7. In the samsung corby, they have not provided for 
a scroll bar. SomeCmes that proves as a problem, 
when while dragging/scrolling down, a buMon is 
accidentally pressed. This problem is solved in the 
nokia, where no buMons are pressed due to the 
presence of a separate scroll bar.

8. No quick contacts are available on the home screen of the corby. 
Where as 4 or more quick contacts are available on the nokia 5800.

9. In the Corby the tasks can be listed according to 
priority. And hence, the one with maximum 
priority can be viewed ﬁrst in the line.

10. In the nokia 5800, there is a socket remove the memory card from 
the outside instead of opening the whole phone with baMery out. Such 
a feature is not available in the corby.
