We are unique compared to other animals in our language, movements, and emotions. We have our

I made note of the different characters and how music effected them, for instance with Frankie.
He liked how he felt when there was parties and music playing. However, even though I was able
to acknowledge other characters and the importance of music to them. Somehow, the examples
and the scenes always seemed to be more so with Doc. The music emphasized how Doc was
feeling and the impact it had on his mood. Steinbeck was able to allow the readers to get an idea
and a mental visual of the scene that was occurring. Like when he was on the beach, after seeing
the dead girl. I could almost hear the surf and feel the breeze that was being explained, along
with the sad music playing. In my opinion, I believe that Steinbeck was able to incorporate how
music is able to correspond with individual s thoughts and feelings. Simply by when he stated

A crucible is a situation of severe trial, or in which different elements interact, leading to the
creation of something new. Everyone in their life has experienced or gone through a crucible that
has had a great impact on how they view something. From my perspective I have experienced a

The whole point of having rules is to have control over others.If one chooses to break the rules,

Throughout the semester, students have learned of the importance of the interplay amongst
different levels of actors in international relations politics. These various institutions, governments,
groups, and individuals are especially important when considering the issue of human rights. My
chosen article, co written by Elisabeth Malkin and Gene Palumbo, describes the landmark decision
for El Salvador s Supreme Court to overturn an amnesty law that protected perpetrators of human
rightsviolations. The ruling of the Supreme Court is based on the grounds that the amnesty is

descriptive words really seem to describe the black people, or writers, during the Harlem
Renaissance. They are really coming into their own during this time period and the words sensitive

and unjust laws created by such authorities later that actually initiated the riots and plundering done

principles, led to several mixed responses by both Germanic nobles and religious figures. By the

Grief is a part of life that is simply unavoidable. People grieve over a multitude of different
things. For instance, when one thinks of grief they often immediately think of death; that a
person has to experience the loss of a loved one to understand and go through the grieving
process. However, grief is defined as deep sorrow, so anything causing one to feel a deep sense of
sadness can cause them to go through the grieving process. The process of griefconsists of five
stages. The first is denial, where one is surprised and shocked to the point of disbelief. The second
stage is anger, where one is just mad that it happened in general. Then they enter the third stage of
depression, where they are done being mad, but are instead incredibly sad and are having a hard
time even functioning. The fourth stage is bargaining, where one grieves their own life and
begins to bargain with God and question what they could have done differently. Finally they then
reach the fifth and final stage which is acceptance, where one is able to think upon the event and
