REPORT

INTRODUCTION
Virtually all people will have to write a report at some point in their education
or career, whether it's a research report, a sales report, a yearly progress
report or another kind. Regardless of the type of report you’re writing, there
are several qualities common to all reports that are essential to its success.
Report provides factual information depending on which decisions are
made. Therefore everyone should be taken to ensure that a report has all
the essentials qualities which turn it into a good report.
A common problem of business writing is that may of the reports produced
are never read.
HOW TO WRITE A GOOD REPORT
1. Good Report has a Clarity of Thought
A good report is one which is drafted in a simple, clear and lucid
language.
Its language should not be difficult and confusing.
There should be no ambiguity as regards the statements made in the
report.
A reader should be able to understand the entire report easily, exactly and
quickly.

2. Good Report is Complete and Self explanatory
A good report is always a complete and self-explanatory document.
For this, repetition of facts, figures, information, conclusions and
recommendation should be avoided.

A lengthy report is not necessarily a good report.
