Eval q 1

This first frame that I have
chosen is off the institution
logo. This was created
using after effects. One
thing to note is that this
looks very different from
the original as the colours
are quite smudged and it
looks a bit more pixelated.
Reason for this is that are
whole opening sequence
has the effect of portraying
it in a very old 70's style.

This frame is a part of
the begin of the opening
title sequence. As well
as setting the whole
scene it shows how the
'Grifter' works in taking
items from pedestrians.
This is very much
relate-able to the
opening of 'Superbad', it
shows a similar style
where by the
background and
characters and
chromakeyed.

This is the title of the
film and arguable one of
the main titles because
it lets the audience now
a lot by just reading it. In
terms of font we used
Titania which is very
plain and simple that
does not attract a lot of
attention It helps
because it is not
restricted with any style
and typically and work
with any genre.

In regards to this frame
we see the first
encounter of both the
police officer and grifter.
As they are shown as
silhouettes it represents
a certain enigma which
is not usually seen in
opening sequences.
This is quite
unconventional and
different which shows
this film style is not the
same as others.

This is a quite unique
style as it is
unconventional. Reason
for that being said is the
approach that has been
used in interacting with
the text has never been
done before. Why we
went with this is
because it is something
that one does not tend
to see and we thought it
would be unique. It
should impress the
audience as it looks
very clean cut.

Here we see the return
of the police character.
This shows that he will
not stop at anything but
carry on until the culprit
has been caught. This is
quite common in many
films but since we have
gone for an abstract
opening with silhouettes
this can be visually seen
in the opening
sequence.

This shows the use of
animation with the
opening. This is quite
heavily influenced by
saul bass especially
with the idea of lines.
Even so since we went
for quite of a catch me if
you can opening
sequence this is most
visible in this bit.
Reason as it
incorporates the use of
lines with that blue and
black colour contrast.

This is quite a powerful
frame in the opening as
it moves on to a graphic
match as well as bring
up enigma codes. Much
enigma is shown as it
lets questions arise
such as what happened
to the culprit?, how will
this work in the film?
And what does it say
about the characters
personalities?

This is the final frame in
the opening and it what
occurs after the graphic
match. It does cause
some enigma as it gives
a short glimpse of the
lifestyle of one of the
characters. It does
shows some idea of
collection and maybe
this character is quite
compulsive in the idea
of what they need.
