In what ways does your media product
use, develop or challenge forms and
  conventions of real media products?
use
• One convention I was keen to use
    was special effects. My resources
where limited but managed to get
    some smoke and fire effects.

• If I where to do it again I would
have actually put in the spaceship
crashing but that was out of my
    skill set
• One other thing I used
    that is quite like other
    science fiction films was
to start it off with a view
    of the earth from space
    to tell the audience that
its is about the earth in
    the first few seconds .
develop

• Although I could not put in the spaceship crash. Without
showing this still works well developing on conventions of
having and elaborate spaceship crash to grasp the audiences
    attention.

• By having no crash then not seeing the alien it works well as
it keeps the audience questioning what is going on.
Challenge

• The way my opening challenges conventions is that in most
it sets up the setting of the film and main characters. Instead
it finishes with a cliff hanger that will be explained later on in
    the film.
How does your media product
      represent particular social groups?

• My product represents a
    typical rural environment set
in a little village. This is so that
    if something out of the
ordinary was to happen it may
    well go unnoticed.

• It is also representing a typical
    adult out walking his dog
which can relate to a lot of
    people.
