EVALUATION OF THE SCRIPT
- 1. Evaluationof the script. The meetingswiththe clientwentverywell,andIfeel thisisevidentwithinmylog,asthe meetings wentonthere was lessthathad to be improved,thisshowsgreatimprovementfromthe first meetingwhere therewasalot of stuff that wasdiscussedand itneededtobe sorted. - The clientwasimpressedwithmyideas andhow Ihad incorporatedideas frommyprevious treatments/ideasintothe newfilmidea. - Howeverthere wasanissue withhow I hadoriginallywantedtoendmyfilm, myideawasto endit witha fightsequence,thisisstill the planhowevermyoriginal planwastohave a long one take sequence,thisisnotpossibleasitwouldrequire extreme precautionstobe taken and I do nothave the resources/contactstochoreographa one take fightsequence. Ihave had to change thisso the shotsare strategicallyframedmeaningnobodywillbe hurt. - The filmwill definitelyappeal tomy audience of youngadultsasthe actors will be the same age as myprimarydemographic,thismakesiteasierforthemtorelate astheymay have beenina similarsituationthemselves. - I have successfullyformattedanindustryacceptedscriptandshootingscript,the latterwas an extremelytime consumingtaskhoweveritwill be beneficialwhenitcomestofuture taskssuch as storyboarding andactuallyshootingthe film. - Ethical and legal requirementsare met, Ihave beenthroughthiswithmyclient,making sure that the language usedisnotan issue as thisisthe onlyreal worry forme. - All togetherIam pleasedwith the outcome of the script,howeverthatisonlyhalf of it,it is all well andgoodto have a structuredplanand idea, howeverIneedtomake sure I follow these planswhenitcomestofilming, SwotAnalysis Strengths – advantagesof the task I’ve completedisthatithelpsme forall myfuture tasks,whether that be,storyboardingor actuallyshootingthe film.Ithelpsme tohighlight/identifyproblemsthat couldpotentiallycome up Weakness –A problemIhave facedthroughoutthiswhole taskistime management,there’sbeena fewtimeswhere I’ve hadtopostpone startingnew tasksasI’ve notbeenable tofinishanothertask. Or othercases where Ihave starteda task and notfinisheditfora longtime meaningwhenIcome back to it,it’snot freshtome. Opportunities –There are quite afewopportunitiesthatcouldarise fromthe productionof myfilm, short of the weekcouldpromote the film, showingitacrosssocial mediaorat live events.Aswellas this,itwill allowme asa creative toembark on new ideas,new filmsandnew creative projects.It couldinspire me totake a tripintothe film/productionworld.
- 2. Threats– Finance isalwaysanissue,regardlessof whatfinancialpositionyouare in.Formyself,its goingto be the biggestissue,tryingtofinance little things,likepetrol andfoodcosts.The filmisnot ina positontoreimburse anyoutgoingcosts.
