Introduction
 In order to conduct an audience survey on our Music
Video of ODESZA – Bloom we decided to do this in a
form of a questionnaire and ask 10 people some
different questions based on the music video. In the
next few slides I will be explaining the feedback I
received from each of them.
What do you think were the
strengths of the music video?
 When this question was asked to the 10 people the
main response we had back was the timing of the
editing in sync with the music. They really enjoyed the
flow of the video between day and night and the music
matching the chorus and different chords of the song.
They were overall really impressed with the choice of
the song and the type of editing that we used.
What do you think were the
weaknesses of the music video?
 When this question was asked, there were several
things that the audience told us that we could improve
on. They found some points of the music video quite
confusing and difficult to understand what was
happening. One person said that the quality of the
video was a little poor on the scene of big ben and you
could not see the clock face and time passing. Another
person mentioned that the last scene was slightly too
dark and the shots were too long throughout the video
itself.
What could be added to the music
video if it could be redone?
 When this question was asked, the majority of people
told us to have more of a narrative and meaning
behind the video to add more effect and so that the
audience can understand more of what is happening.
As well as this they suggested that we use more shots
and time lapses. In some time lapses they were slightly
shaky and some shots weren't shot for long enough so
you could see the shakiness as the camera was being
turned off. Longer shots also would be needed.
What audience would you aim the
music video at?
 When we asked this question a lot of people said to
aim the music video around 15 years old and upwards.
The music video did not contain any explicit language
or bad scenes, but the music video may be confusing to
younger audiences.
Could the footage fit with another
song?
 When we asked this question the majority of people
suggested that the music video was best suited to the
song choice that we made. If the song was different
then the editing styles and the footage that we had
may not fit together very well.
