- 2. Why is it important to identify and choose the correct institution to create and distribute a film? Relate to audience, genre and industry reputation. The importance of identifying and to choose the correct institution because the audience would know the type of film and genre that they will be watching. When the audience watch a film, when the see the institution that has been involved in the film they will have some expectations to the film genre. With some of the institutions they will be in certain types of genre for the different institutions. Also as the audience watch the expectations of that industry’s reputation will will be added due to the the reputation of the industry, make the audience have more of an expectation from the film they are watching.

Who would you choose to distribute your thriller and why? • The institution that I would choose is ‘New line cinema’ this Is because they do a lot of films in the thriller genre for example, the conjuring, Texas massacre, a nightmare on elm street and the butterfly effect. With knowing this it allows me to know that this institution, will have the correct reputation that I would choose to distribute my thriller.
- 4. What benefits will choosing this institution have on your media product? • The benefits of choosing this institution will allow us to quick distribute our thriller to the our target audience. Also another benefit of having new line cinema is that, the reputation of the company is highly known for the films that they distribute to the public.
