Analog sounds have advantages of using less bandwidth than digital and providing a more accurate representation of the original sound. However, they are susceptible to white noise that can cause distortion and loss of signal. Tape-based analog recording also has disadvantages of being expensive if tape is ruined, difficult to find, and harder to synchronize than digital sounds. Quality is also easily lost from analog sounds.
