The readings from these past weeks on on issues of race and cultural patrimony were too
informative considering the Native American exhibits I have attended, my work in an anthropology
museum, and anthropology classes I have taken. Somehow, Cooper s The Long Road to
Repatriation provided more context and weight to the historical atrocities against Native Americans
than any of my other educational experiences. To be fair, I am not a scholar of Native history, but I
am certainly not uninformed, and it should not take a scholar or be a native person to understand
these issues. As Lonetree mentioned, the Holocaust Museum presents a difficult subject and forces
the visitor to confront inhumanity (106). I think the impact of this information as an educational
experience in a museum would have a huge impact on current social and political tensions. I hope

Shri Lakshmi Mandir (9292 Magnolia Ave): On April 6, 2017 I walked a couple blocks down
from school to visit the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir (Hindu Temple). On arrival, the first thing
that was uniquely different from my own church is that all the members of the church had their
shoes off and were walking around the templefloor barefoot. As for the appearance, I quickly

During this service, we were instructed to sit in the chairs in the back of the room instead of
standing with the other church members during prayer and worship. I had some trouble picking up
everything from the second service, but I did catch some primary themes. The Imam spoke about a

Holocaust was 15 when his town was relocated to the camp Auschwitz. For 11 months, Elie

Music takes up a large part of our lives, most people listen to it almost every day. It is one of the
only medians between People from completely different walks of life, connecting us all through
major symphonies or just beautifully simple chords. Though many people enjoy the emotion filled
sound that travel to their eardrums, most do not know exactly why. People also do not know
why they dislike some musical sounds. I am very curious as to why there are melodies
considered good or bad. Just as most people, I listen to music on the daily basis. I am also invested
in learning how to play the electric guitar which influences my interest in this topic greatly. I want
to find out why exactly different chords are considered either harmonic or discordant by looking
into the consonance and dissonance in music. In my research on this topic, I will focus mainly on
the emission of sound waves through instruments and how the notes come together. Sound travels
as a transverse wave which means it takes the same shape as sine waves, in mathematics. These
waves are used to produce different volume, frequencies, and timbre in instruments. In music, sound
waves have different frequencies which change the in pitch of notes, and different amplitudes,
which change the volume of notes.

immunosuppressive drugs like cyclosporine. The practice of utilizing immunosuppressive drugs
has led to a decrease of transplant failure rejection of a new organ by the recipient s own immune
system (Kaserman, 2007). As research continues to look for new ways to decrease organ rejection
rates, the majority of recipients take immunosuppressive drugs and will need to do so indefinitely
(Ehlers, 2002). Kaserman states that as the transplant industry grew, a need for guidelines became
apparent and hence requested that Congress create a governing body (2007). In response, the
United States government created the current system in 1984 which has been revised several times.
