4.How to build a personal accountability machine that will
keep you on-track and accomplishing the goals that you’ve

• You don’t need “SMART” Goals
• You need goals that a time-based and measurable
• Goals should feel like a stretch…if they are too easy, rethink them.
• Make your goals significant, not just specific
• Good goals should give you enormous amounts of energy.

SPRINTS
• Interval training is the way to get faster
• Sprints are not based on stacks of assumptions or dependent on
predicting an unpredictable future.
• They’re not an exercise in fortune telling like 10-year plans.
• Sprints give you a better picture of what you should do on a day-to-
day basis.
• Requires Parkinson’s Law and Pareto Principle to be in effect

• For each of your Sprints (initiatives) pick 2-3 weekly actions
• Track those actions on a weekly basis using a tool
• JUDGE YOURSELF on success/failure each day
• Each week try to improve your score
• Measure TOWARD checkpoints at 30/60/90 days
