A message from the King and Queen You, as an undercover agent for the King and Queen, are hereby authorized to make a journey to the New World on behalf of our kingdom. Your mission is to follow Captain Sparrow’s orders and spy on the top explorer’s from other countries to gain knowledge of their missions. You will need to follow them closely without getting caught. Find out all you can about their mission. Captain Sparrow has a list of things we would like to know about each explorer. You must follow the list exactly. You will be provided with a ship, crew, and all the necessary provisions for an extensive journey to the New World. Certain precise requirements must be met if you expect to be rewarded for your achievements. In order to fulfill your contract you will make a report on each Explorer. Using an Explorer's Notebook you will report all of your findings about each explorer Good luck on your journey and Godspeed. All of our rivals are competing for land, trade and wealth. Whoever wins will be the strongest kingdom in Europe. It is imperative that you succeed.  The Monarchy
Task: Your task is to complete a full report on each Explorer listed below. You will follow each explorer on their route or routes to the New World carefully finding answers to all of the questions the King and Queen have asked. You will complete this task by taking notes and then creating a report on each Explorer in an Explorer notebook. Captain Sparrow has left you a list of the questions for you and your crew to answer they are listed below. He has also helped you out by giving you websites in which you can find answers to your questions. Your crew will consist of yourself and a partner. You must determine which job each of you will take on in order to complete your mission. The two of you will then combine to write your reports on each explorer following the guidelines in your Explorers notebook.
Researchers Identify which country funded the explorer’s exploration. Describe, in 3 well-developed sentences, which region of the new world each explorer discovered. (You need to include exact and relative location) In 4 well developed sentences, explain how each country/explorer related with Native Americans In 3 well developed sentences, Identify the number of voyages that each explorer made. What was the range of years for each voyage? Capture a map of the explorer's voyage(s). Biographers Determine the years that each explorer lived. Describe, in 4 well-developed sentences, significant events in the life of each explorer. (You must identify what contributions he made to his country) In 5 well-developed sentences, analyze, the impact each explorer had on his country. Explain how the economic and military power of each country changes? Describe how the country benefits from the voyage? Elaborate on the new wealth brought to the country. Capture a picture of each explorer
