Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is natural gas that has been cooled to -161°C to become a liquid, reducing its volume by 600 times to enable transportation. Australia has several LNG projects under development that will cost $200 billion and create 100,000 jobs. LNG exports are expected to increase significantly, boosting export revenue and taxes which can fund major infrastructure projects. LNG is safe to transport and burns cleaner than coal.
