This document summarizes a research study that examined factors influencing service quality in university libraries in Sri Lanka. The researchers administered a questionnaire to 232 users across 3 universities. Exploratory factor analysis identified 4 key factors that accounted for 50.3% of the variance in perceptions of service quality: 1) convenient opening hours, 2) current information, 3) collection comprehensiveness, and 4) convenient access to collection. The study aimed to develop an empirical model of service quality for university libraries in Sri Lanka.
