The survey found that franchisor and service provider confidence in general business conditions, franchisor growth prospects, and franchisee profitability were at their highest levels. However, confidence in access to suitable staff and locations fell. While franchisee sales levels were expected to rise, operating costs were also expected to increase. The survey provided a quarterly assessment of views from 37 franchisors and 19 service providers on factors impacting the franchising industry in New Zealand.
