- 3. Why the Benson Hill Community? •Benson Hill is home to more than 20,000 people and 400 businesses •The 2007 annexation area had been underserved in King County • Fewer parks • Fewer community areas • Less maintenance (roads, storm drains, etc.)

Where is the Benson Hill Community? •Boundaries were created in 2009 •Includes many neighborhoods: • Benson • Royal Hills • Cascade • Spring Glen • Chinquapin • Tiffany Park • Eagle Ridge • Vantage Glen • Falcon Ridge • Victoria Hills • Huntington • Woodbury Heights Lane • Renton Park • & Surrounding • Rolling Hills Areas
- 5. Who is the Benson Hill Community? We are racially and ethnically diverse with a growing minority population
- 6. Who is the Benson Hill Community? About a quarter of us were born outside the US About 7% of our neighbors are in homes where no one speaks English
- 7. Who is the Benson Hill Community? Although part of our community is aging… there are a lot of young families in the neighborhood as well
- 8. Who is the Benson Hill Community? A growing number of our neighbors are living in poverty
- 9. What has the City been up to?
