Monday, 12th March FIA Welcome Reception Time: 19.00 – 21.00 Venue: Nomad Lounge, Figueroa Hotel, 939 South Figueroa Street Los Angeles, CA 90015 The Figueroa is a Moroccan themed boutique hotel that will serve as the FIA base hotel for the duration of IHRSA. Tuesday, 13th March FIA Day Out in LA Tour of Universal Studios, LA & Beverly Hills Movie Star Homes! See the stars' homes in Beverly Hills and discover the world of movie-making at Universal Studios Hollywood. Face the action head-on in Universal Studios Hollywood’s heart- pounding rides, shows and attractions that put you inside some of the world’s biggest movies. The tour also covers iconic Los Angeles landmarks such as the Walk of Fame, Bel Air and the Kodak Theatre (home of the Academy Awards!). After a full day of sightseeing, you will be returned your hotel safe and sound. Time: 07.30 – 18.00 Cost: £100 (includes lunch & ticket into Universal Studios) Nominated Bar: Ion Pool Bar Enjoy a quiet drink after a busy day touring LA and Universal Studios. The Ion Rooftop Pool Bar is situated just three minutes’ walk from Figueroa Hotel. It’s a sophisticated space that offers views of the Los Angeles skyline and LA LIVE, serving cocktails and appetizers daily. Discover the mystique that lured Jim Morrison to found ‘The Doors’, and a Culture that gave birth to modern skateboarding. You’ll also see Muscle Beach, beautiful beachside homes and the breaking waves of the Southern California coastline. Choose either rollerblades or a beach cruiser bicycle provided by Perry’s Café and Rentals. We might even catch the sunset! A laid-back neighbourhood bar, Salute offers cold drink and a variety of food. Time: From 19.00 Venue: 2435 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA 90405 Friday, 16th March FIA & Les Mills Closing Party Lucky Strike is a unique entertainment bar and restaurant that provides bowling lanes, wrapped in a stimulating atmosphere of art and entertainment. This state of the art bowling alley is the likes of which you’ve not seen before! Our private, deluxe suite comprises of 4 private bowling alleys, pool tables and a dedicated bar and room to dance! Time: From 22.00 Venue: The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, 900 West Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015 Saturday, 17th March Early Morning Hike in the Hollywood Hills For those who were sensible the night before, this is an opportunity to follow the footsteps of the rich and famous with a refreshing morning hike on the Griffith Observatory West Trail Loop. During this 2.5 mile hike you will get a close-up view of the Hollywood sign as well as Los Angeles city and the Griffith Observatory. Time: 08.30 Cost: Free (please let us know if you intend to come along) Meeting Point: To be confirmed OR The Amazing Race! Part scavenger hunt, part self-guided tour, part race and full-on fun – the Amazing Race Los Angeles is the world’s only competitive sight-seeing tour. After splitting up into groups you will receive the first in a series of devious clues that will have you experiencing your own reality show experience, unlike any sightseeing tour you’ve done before. It will let you explore the city in a completely new way! Time: 10.30 – 14.30 (approx. finish) Cost: £50 Meeting point: To be confirmed Nominated Bar: Nomad Lounge On our last night in Los Angeles we will be starting at our hotel bar, Nomad Lounge. From there you might like to have a quiet dinner at a local restaurant or… As Saturday is St Patrick’s Day, what better way to celebrate than in an Irish pub?! Casey’s Irish Pub is in Downtown LA and will be closing off a large part of the street for a party of bands, beer (some of which you’ll find it green!), food and over 10,000 people! OR You could enjoy a classic Hollywood bar like The Library Bar at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel; it is renowned for its unique made-to-order cocktails, nightlife and being a hangout of the rich and famous.
