Filming Part OneThese photographs were taken whilst we were filming part of our First Final Idea. The part we were filming on this particular occasion was were the two teenage girls see a picture of our main actress (the aspiring model) in a magazine and then mimic her.
The location for this part of our filming was my own house. We chose this location together as a group because it was an easy location to get to and fitted perfectly what we wanted, we also did not need anything fancy or spectacular for this specific part of our filming – just a plain wall in a living room with a sofa.
This is a medium shot of what our location and mise en scene looked like. The redhead light worked well against the deep red wall as all of the other walls were cream. We created a homely and natural feel, I believe we achieved this as the setting looks natural contributing to the realism and effect of what we wanted to accomplish.
Here is how we set up our Redhead light. We shone it towards the ceiling so as not to cast too many shadows, as it would also have been too bright if we directed it straight at our actresses and would not have looked good on camera.
