C. Read this article about millionaire homes and match each sentence with a
home. Copy your answers on the answer sheet.

                       Millionaires and their secret homes
Some millionaires like living in the centre of the world’s capital cities. Others prefer to
live somewhere quiet and private. Here are three special millionaire homes: one on the
beach, one in the mountains and one in the middle of a tropical forest.

         1. The first home is a tree house, built high up in the trees of a tropical rain forest.
But it’s no ordinary tree house. It’s on two floors and there are two bathrooms
and three bedrooms. The top floor of the house is a roof-top terrace. This is the
“breakfast room”, where you can have your coffee and cornflakes with the
monkeys. They think the house is just another tree!

         2. The second home is an old castle, built high on a rock. The only way to get
there is by helicopter. There’s a helicopter pad on the roof, next to the
swimming pool. It isn’t very big: only three bedrooms, a living room, two
bathrooms, a kitchen and a gym. And some very spectacular views.

         3. The third home is my personal favourite. It’s a beach house, but a beach house
with a difference. It’s got a private beach, of course. In fact, it’s built on its own
private island. This home is actually a collection of small houses: a little village
actually. There are four swimming pools, eight tennis courts and twenty horses
            in the riding stables.

   0. You can go horse riding here. (house 3)
   1. You need a helicopter to get to this house. _______
   2. There isn’t a swimming pool. _______
   3. There are several houses built next to each other. ________
   4. There’s a beach near the house. ______
   5. There are fantastic views from the roof. _______
   6. Wild animals come onto the roof-top terrace. _______
   7. You can swim on the roof. ______
   8. There is a gym. ______
                                                                                 / 8 marks

  • 5. C. Read this article about millionaire homes and match each sentence with a home. Copy your answers on the answer sheet. Millionaires and their secret homes Some millionaires like living in the centre of the world’s capital cities. Others prefer to live somewhere quiet and private. Here are three special millionaire homes: one on the beach, one in the mountains and one in the middle of a tropical forest. 1. The first home is a tree house, built high up in the trees of a tropical rain forest. But it’s no ordinary tree house. It’s on two floors and there are two bathrooms and three bedrooms. The top floor of the house is a roof-top terrace. This is the “breakfast room”, where you can have your coffee and cornflakes with the monkeys. They think the house is just another tree! 2. The second home is an old castle, built high on a rock. The only way to get there is by helicopter. There’s a helicopter pad on the roof, next to the swimming pool. It isn’t very big: only three bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a gym. And some very spectacular views. 3. The third home is my personal favourite. It’s a beach house, but a beach house with a difference. It’s got a private beach, of course. In fact, it’s built on its own private island. This home is actually a collection of small houses: a little village actually. There are four swimming pools, eight tennis courts and twenty horses in the riding stables. 0. You can go horse riding here. (house 3) 1. You need a helicopter to get to this house. _______ 2. There isn’t a swimming pool. _______ 3.
