on
Post Graduate Students
(BIMTECH)

Introduction

 A Post-Graduate degree program is demanding
Seminars and Workshops are important for them.
 As a part of curriculum students attend a number of
seminars and workshops for better understanding of
concepts, exposure to the new happenings in the
corporate world and learning of new skills.
Objective

 To find out the effectiveness of Workshops / Seminars
imparted to the Post Graduate students of BIMTECH
 How much Students able to retain from seminars and
workshops
 Where they are utilizing the learning’s of seminars and
workshops
About BIMTECH

 The Birla Institute of Management Technology
(BIMTECH), Bhubaneswar is a sister concern of
BIMTECH, Greater Noida.
 The institute commenced operations from 01 August
2013 and is presently offering Post Graduate
Diploma in Management.
 BIMTECH, Bhubaneswar is currently offering PGDM
(with specialization in Finance, HR, Marketing and
Operations).

1. 68% agrees that the orientation program had been beneficial as in
terms of knowing rules and regulations.
2. 66% agrees that the orientation program had been beneficial when they
are officially welcomed.
3. 69%of the Post graduate students liked the conducting of outbound
activities during the Immersion Program.
4. 51% of the Post Graduate students agree that the Outbound activities
were an Ice-breaker between the student and the rest of the batch.
5. 68% agrees that the Outbound games helped the Post Graduate
students to work in a group.
6. 62% of the Post Graduate students had helped them to know that
management exists in every field
7. 62% agrees that the theatre workshop had helped them in working in a
group
8. 44% agrees that the orientation program had been helpful them to be
alert with the preparedness required for this program
9. 36% agrees that the Post Graduate students agreed that they liked
attending workshops and seminars
10. 32% disagrees that they don’t attended workshops and seminars only
for the sake of attendance.

11. 67% agrees that the Post Graduate students attend the Seminars and
Workshops for Learning
12. 75% agrees that the orientation program was necessary
13. 77% of the students remembered the interactive session of Britannia
14. 39% agrees that the learning expectations were fulfilled by attending the
Britannia Seminar
15. 29 % of the students remembered the Reliance Cement Seminar
16. 17% agrees that the learning expectations were fulfilled attending the
Reliance Cement Seminar
17. 34% of the students agrees that HR Conference had been beneficial
18. 34% of the students agrees that International Conference was
beneficial to them
19. 42% agrees that they can apply the learning’s from the Seminar and
workshops during class participation
20. 47% of the student agrees that they can apply the learning from
Seminar and Workshops while working in group to make others
understand the concept

21. 62% agrees that the Seminars and Workshops are vital for the overall
academic growth
22. 51% agrees that the overall quality and usefulness of the workshop
format and Individual activities by presentations from speakers
followed by Panel discussions
23. 81% agrees that according to Post Graduate students the most
attractive feature is hearing the different perspectives followed by
brainstorming ideas i.e.74%.
24. From the survey it has been found that maximum of the Post graduate
students agrees that the more beneficial in Skill Enhancement
Workshops and Leadership Talks.
25. As per the Post Graduate students the Seminars and Workshops
would be more better if
i. Real examples
ii. Case studies and involving

Limitations

 Time constrain.
 All the participants were not equally interested to
respond to the questionnaire for the survey.
 There are quite a number of students that remain
absent during Seminars leads to non-completion of
questionnaire.
Conclusion

 The conclusion can be made the conducting of
Seminars and Workshops was quite effective.
 Utilizing the leaning’s to improve their interpersonal
skill.
 Helped the students to work in a group.
 knowing the different perspective of speakers.
 Applying the Seminars and Workshops learning’s
during classroom participation and also by
understanding the management concept better.
