Our Survey Results Ten out of eighteen kids  surveyed at West Seneca West are able to stop drinking after a certain number of drinks. 32.6% of students had had five or more drinks of alcohol on at least one occasion.
Seventeen out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West don’t need a drink to get them motivated.
Six out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West either blackout or forget what happened the night they were out drinking.
Three out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West have been involved with fights while being drunk or high.
Eleven out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West have said or done something they later regretted.
Four out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West have drove drunk or high before.  Eight young people a day die in alcohol-related crashes.
Seventeen out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West haven’t been in trouble with the police or school authorities because of drinking. 60% of all problems with the police(such as injuries, vandalism, etc.).
Ten out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West consider themselves not normal drinkers.  Thirty percent of twelfth graders engage in binge drinking at least once every two weeks.
Three out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West think about getting drunk or high a lot.
Two out of eighteen kids surveyed at West Seneca West feel guilty or self-conscious about drinking.
Factual Information  Compared to teens who have not seen their parent or parents drunk, those who have are twice as likely to get drunk in a typical month, and three times more likely to use marijuana.
Teens who believe their father is okay with their drinking are two and a half times likelier to get drunk in a month.
Two thirds of teens who drink at least once a month get drunk at least once a month.
Teens who get drunk at least once a month are 18 times more likely to use marijuana and more likely to associate with teens who abuse other illegal drugs.
More than one third of teens (8.7 million) can get prescription drugs to get high within a day nearly one in five teens (4.7 million) can get them within an hour.
