English around the world.

     English in Mexico

          Language, communication, teaching, learning.
• The necessity to communicate in English has become a place
common in the business, policy, education, medicine, trips and
Importance tourism among others and this is not going to change.

of English • The fact that the world has reached a transformative moment in
a long process is remarkable enough, but even more remarkable

in the is the idea that rapid change will not now be a permanent feature
of global life, rather it is a consequence of the transitions towards
a new and more settled world order, with quite different
World cultural, economic and linguist landscapes.

              • The companies depend more and more on the electronic mail and
Internet, means in which the dominant language is the English.
• Speaking English is an absolute requirement for
Mexican citizens who wish to advance in a
professional field. Because of close ties with the
United States, many Mexican companies conduct a
certain amount of their business in English.

Importance • The Mexican people have had that to face a world

of English environmental of intense competence; because the
negotiation with the other countries, the North
American Trade Free Agreements (NAFTA) it brought
in México important changes in the
economic, commercial, social and educational areas.

              • Here in México the people who uses the English
language continues growing day after day, it is the
language in which the international business are
                carried out.

                      Teaching
 'Martin himself is a former teacher. He likes the
oyster and sausage analogy to teaching. Some
teachers and professors treat students like
sausages to be stuffed with information; great
teachers treat students like oysters, they
stimulate, explore and maybe even irritate and
every so often they produce a pearl’.

 -Anonynous-
• The change over the years has to make
                   the people change with the
development in all areas, now the
future will depend of knowledge, and
English is with knowledge people will have the
                   capacity to communicate.

                  • As we could see these concepts also work
as a process and they complete each
                    other, changing everyday, improving each
                    other as well.
                  • We need language to be able to
Language, commu communicate, we also need language and
nication, Teachin communication to work in teaching and
