- 4. Since Operation Enduring Freedom More than 1.6 million brave men and woman have served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and surrounding areas Half had repeated deployment
- 9. 1 in 3 are HOMELESS Veterans
- 12. According to Department of Veterans Affairs there are 49,425 veterans with newly diagnosed post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- 13. ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT MORE THAN 200,000 VETERANS ARE LIVING: IN SHELTERS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING CARS And on the STREETS

- 16. This year, the VA will spend $3.2 billion to prevent and reduce homelessness among veterans. $500 million going to homeless programs and $2.5 billion to medical services.
- 17. In March of 2011, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched a new program: Hiring Our Heroes a nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment.
