Characters:
Amy: innocent girl wanted by cult
Adam: male friend, on standby to help cult; has been recruited to get her back into house
following day
Katie: also part of cult, but least-suspected antagonist to Amy until end
Plot:
Amy gets text from Adam, to meet him at this place (next to house)
Can’t find him, so starts having a look around and enter house
Bumps into Katie, who is surprised she’s not with Adam
Cult appear, Amy manages to get out, but memories of that night are gone once she leaves –
collapses
[where film begins] Adam finds her and wakes her up, tells her they were at a party, she left
feeling drunk and he followed and found her here. Takes her home.
She looks at her photo collage while getting ready for school (foreshadowing as audience don’t
know about Katie yet)
At school, sees empty chair/ people just ask where she is, hasn’t heard from her
Amy phones Katie, who eventually answers, and manages a weak ‘Help me’ hears voices in
background. Amy shouts“where are you???” But phone cuts off
Finds Adam, they decide to meet that night at the spot where he found Amy, convinces her they
shouldn’t tell anyone else –Katie could be messing them about. Amy calms down and sneaks out
later that night with Adam
Go to near house, don’t see anything, then see a supernatural flash in window and both enter.
[flashbacks start here for Amy as she enters] –‘feel like I’ve been here before’
Adam appears nervous now in house as they look around. Before Amy can find out why, Katie
appears, Amy rushes over.
Katie appears normal and calmly tells them ‘I’m so glad you’re here’/ ‘I’ve been waiting for you’,
Amy tries to get Katie to leave, who doesn’t move
Backs away, and tells Adam they should leave. He blocks the way, and says ‘I’m so sorry Amy’.
Cult appear supernaturally who swoop on her.
Fade to black as she’s knocked out.
Wakes up restrained to wall. Katie explains their involvement from beginning.
Adam still looks apprehensive about situation. Amy says ‘how could you!?’, he says: ‘they have
my family Amy! I had no choice’
Cult member give the box containing spirit to Katie; two cult members unshackle Amy and hold
her back.
Katie explains that Amy’s bloodline is needed as a host for the spirit to be put into.
As Katie is about to put spirit in her, Adam runs forward in the way, cult members let go of Amy
as his body distorts. Cult can’t control it and back away.
Amy kneels down to him and sees in his eyes that he needs to die. She kills him with object.
Cult dissaparate, leaving Katie on her own and Amy cradling Adam’s body upset.
Katie leaves and police arrive –neighbours had called about disturbances
Amy is arrested for Adam’s death –her fingerprints are on the weapon, is thought to have had a
nervous break and is mad.
