What is my
dreamt job?
01
Since I was a child, I always wanted to be a
doctor, I always liked helping other people. It
always caught my attention to go to hospitals,
to see how doctors were able other lives.
● I have always dreamed of having my
own hospital, directing it and opening
the doors to those who need it most but
continuing to operate and do what I like
(neurology)
BE A SURGEON…
“ I believe I can do anything. If I decide I
want to be a doctor tomorrow, I'm going to
be a doctor.”

SKILLS:
Languages
Fluency in several
languages is a
huge asset,
particularly if
combined with
international
experience and an
understanding of
different cultural
contexts.
Creativity Self-motivation Soft skills
As a fresh
graduate, I have
the capacity to be
flexible. I need to
suggest new ways
of doing things to
improve efficiency
and
competitiveness
I’ll need to be self-
motivated to
succeed, with the
skills to work
remotely, manage
my own schedule,
and collaborate
using a range of
communication
tools.
Teamwork, a strong
work ethic and
positivity are some
of the qualities
employers look for
during interviews
that can make a
tremendous
difference

What Are Colleges Looking for in Applicants?
Excellent Grades in
Challenging Courses
Even if you started high school
with lower grades, an upward
grade trend is great. This suggests
that you're capable of bouncing
back from any difficulties you
might face and are willing to put
in the work necessary for
excelling in college.
What colleges actually want to see is a
spike, that is, a single passion. This
allows colleges to get a clearer feel for
who you are, what you're interested
in, and what your goals are. Will make
you forgettable and seem too similar
to other applicants.

What you write about
should have actually
happened to you and
should be how you actually
feel. Exaggerating details
and outright lying are big
no-noes here!
Honesty
Being Well Rounded
Is Critical for Success
Why do you need to
be a really effective
21st-century
learner?
04
I need to be a really effective 21st century learner to
practice:
➭ Perspective taking – The ability to understand another person’s perspective and see the
world through another person’s eyes is beneficial for all forms of social interactions and
relationships.
➭ Critical thinking – Critical thinking skills can deepen students’
academic learning and are also beneficial for successful interactions and
relationships. Critical thinking helps students assess whether they have all
the parts of a story and how to explore the difference between
assumptions, perspectives, and facts with an open and curious mind.
➭ Respectful communication – The ability to actively listen and communicate respectfully
with others (even – and especially – when disagreeing) can help students build stronger
relationships as well as deepen learning during discussions. It is a critical skill for operating in
multilingual and multicultural environments both in the classroom and in daily life.
➭ Cooperation – Working well with others is a foundational life skill for students to develop
as they learn to navigate relationships in the classroom, at home, and eventually, in the
workplace. When students cooperate, they must consider each other’s perspectives and
experiences as they take on unique roles to achieve shared goals.
These skills are ultimately the building blocks for fostering a greater sense of empathy in
your classroom. Experiences more broadly also relate to other 21st century themes such as
global awareness, creativity and innovation, problem solving, and collaboration as they
expose students to different ways of thinking and different cultures.
