Punjab Assembly Session
Monday January 28, 2013
Expected time of the session is 9am to 5:00 pm
Duration of our coverage will be between 30 min. to 1.30 min
We are covering the part of the session, live and we have the
opportunity to edit and trim the footage of the session into as
small as 30 sec. to 3.30 hrs.
Coverage team

       Team A
       Reporter: Manzoor Shaikh with a cameramen and
       assistant along with DSNG van and staff




       Team B
       Reporter: Ahmed Ali with a cameramen and
       assistant
Team A
   Reach the Assembly building 1 hr before session starting time.
   They must position at the main lobby out side the hall near stair case / or in
    one of the corridor (kindly check the light direction) traditionally in the corner
    there is a desk for members to take documents/ agenda/or material. This is
    the position where we can get most of the members in our frame.

   Get SOT -----------The have to take initial comments from the members who
    are coming to attend the session writes down their name with constituency
    and party, use general audio to record their name etc)

   Get precise answers form as many members as possible on the following
                   New province in Punjab bill discussed in the session or not?
                   Expected names for caretaker govt. in Punjab?
                   When election is expected are we seeing them again?

   We need live feed before session started and clips from the in-house
    coverage of the proceedings
   As the session began Team A leave the assembly to cover seminar in PC by
    planning commission.
   DSNG team will join Team B
Team B
   Positioned at outside of the building as several
    organizations are planning to demonstrate against
    the power failure, junior doctors protesting against
    their dismissal, WASA employees on their demand.
   Get few SOTs, make sure do not lose any shot if there
    is any clash with police.
   Team B remain till the session end sends recorded
    edited feed to office in short intervals
   During session team B must be available for any event
    at the lobby outside the hall in case of any boycott
    from any member(s).
   They will get first response and comments, which is
    very important for coverage.

   Establishing shot of the assembly hall.       30 Sec.
   Members comments while entering the
    assembly hall.                                6 min.
   Speaker opens the session and address         1 min. to as actual
   Point of order and question raised
    by members.                                   1 min. to as actual
   Oath taking of the newly elected members.     1 min.
   Speakers from the benches                     1 man
   Interesting shots as available                As actual
   Closing remarks by speaker                    1 min.

Note
Get permission,
Take tapes and light and
Visit the site before session at least one time.
Test satellite feed and equipment before
leaving the office.
