Font examples & drafted masthead examples
- 1. Font Example HIP HOP HUB – This font is very 1920’s art deco so isn’t really appropriate for the magazine. The contrast between bold and thin will help it stand out though if it is on a magazine cover. It wouldn’t really work in any other colour. HIP HOP HUB – This font is pretty decent but I’m not sure if I like the fact that it’s all in bold. Also the U is really thin compared to all other letters so looks a bit inconsistent. HIP HOP HUB – I like the in between of bold and thin. It stands out but doesn’t take up too much space. As you can see though it is barely visible unless you have it in bold, so would only be good for a masthead. HIP HOP HUB – I don’t think this font is very appropriate to a hip hop magazine, but I do think it looks good even as a small font. HIP HOP HUB – A strange font, always in caps which means it’s only good for a masthead, but I think It would work for a hip hop magazine. HIP HOP HUB – Think it’s a nice font for a masthead, but looks rubbish as normal font. I really like it when in caps though.
- 2. HIP HOP HUB – Another good font that could work, but I think it’s too childish for a hip hop magazine, wouldn’t suit all of my target audience. HIP HOP HUB – Reasonable font but is always in caps so wouldn’t work for anything else other than masthead, not even that good as masthead anyway.
