What is MOOCs
Moocs is the online course.
Moocs aim at unlimited participation.
This means moocs has open access
to the internet.
History of MOOCs
 In the past there was no computers.
 Student had to attend the classes physically.
 The first person to use distance is sir Issac
Pitman.
 The first university to use massive open online
courses is the University of London.
My field of interrest
 My field of interest is business management.
 Types of topic:BUSINESS FUNTIONS.
My understanding of MOOCs using

Types of MOOCs
Xmoocs-indicate programs that
aren’t part of the core offering.
Cmoocs-is the conceptual work in
progress.
Types of MOOCs
 Cmoocs
 Academic, non profit and individual.
 Constructive, connectivist approach.
 Many to many dialogue and peer to peer interaction.
 Informal leaning.
 Rich social media.
 Drive towards openness.
 Network building and collaboration.
Types of MOOCs
 Xmoocs
 Major Universities.
 Behaviourist and cognitive approach.
 One to many student,content,teacher or student interaction.
 More fomal learning.
 Coordinated assessments and quizzes often automated.
 Social media used.
 Open to join but not all content
 Organised group work.
 Fixed platform.
