• Founded on 13th September 1988, FPT is now
the leading information technology and
telecommunications corporation in Vietnam with
branches in 19 countries around the world. FPT
also have branches and offices in 63/63
provinces across Vietnam. FPT child companies
are operating in software outsourcing, IT
services, telecommunications, property, retail, IT
equipment distribution, education and financial

 In 2006 FPT went a step further, opening its own university. It
was the first university in Vietnam to be owned by a private
corporation that led to the booming development of private
sector in Vietnam higher education.
 FPT University’s mission was to establish a new model for
education in the twenty-first century, based on the most
advanced technologies, integrating the program with real-life
practice and tailoring it to fit the requirements of industries.
 FPT Polytechnic, Vocational College of FPT University, was
established in 2010. The goal of school is to supply high-skilled
workforce for service industries to meet the needs of social
development. FPT Polytechnic focused on training and coaching
professional skills, soft skills and language skills that allow
students find good jobs after graduation.

Quality
FPT training programs comply with ISO
standards. FPT Polytechnic focuses on training
communications skills, IT skills and English to
prepare graduates not just for technical skills but
for all aspects of the work environment. Quality
is designed into everything from the choice of
textbooks to the interior design of the school
buildings.

Project-based training
The core of the FPT Polytechnic curriculum is the
semester project. Every four months, students do a
large, interdisciplinary project that integrates
knowledge from each course and binds them
together into a product of real practical value.
Beginning right from the first semester, the curriculum
designers select projects based on real tasks that
graduates will need to do at companies and offices of
employment after they leave school.

Project-based training
 The level of knowledge and experience
required to master these projects
increases each semester until the
completion of the program so that by the
time they graduate, students are
immediately ready to enter the working
environment of their choice. In terms of
curriculum design, this project-based
model ensures that the selection of
courses and lessons has clear focus and
maximizes practical value, equipping
students with marketable skills right from
the first semester.


Openness
 The FPT Polytechnic program is designed to
provide opportunities for the largest
possible number of students.
 There are no entrance exams.
 We have small, local training centers in
every region of the country.
 The level of education is tailored to the
capacity of the majority of students.
 FPT makes special efforts to give students a
fair placement when transferring credits to
and from other schools; making the
program as flexible as possible.

Blended learning
 Training methods mixed between online
and traditional learning at the school
has been successfully applied in the FPT
Polytechnic from 2010. This new way of
learning helps students improve
learning performance significantly.
Students will have to actively interact
with the system, improve their self-
study skill and check their progress day
by day.

FPT Polytechnic’s training programs have been
designed to comply with the BTEC training
framework and other international standards.
For each course or subject in the programs, we
collaborate with the world’s top educational
publishers like Pearson, McGraw-Hill, and
Cengage to choose and translate appropriate
textbooks and teaching materials into
Vietnamese.

 FPT Polytechnic graduates have a well-rounded
skillset, capable of handling work that integrates

program is regularly updated to meet international

Scholarship Policy
 FPT Polytechnic offers teacher’s
assistant scholarships for students
of distinction. These students are
offered work positions in the
school with compensation up to
100% of the tuition fee.
 FPT Polytechnic occasionally offers
special scholarships to certain
eligible students. Detailed
information about scholarships can
be found in the enrollment notice
for each admission period.

Quality Policy
Right from the beginning, quality was
designed into the FPT Polytechnic
program. We apply ISO 9001:2008 for staff
management, teaching processes, and all
academic and extra-curricular student
activities. This ensures the consistency of
operation and quality of the whole system
of FPT Polytechnic in Viet Nam and
around the world.

State-of-the-art facilities
The majority of students’ study time
is focused on practical exercises. All
students have access to the latest
computing equipment for practice.
Lessons are illustrated with
multimedia and video and each
classroom has a projector system.

E-library system
E-lessons, revision exercises and subject syllabuses are all posted online
and we have an e-learning management system that allows students to
access schedules, classroom information, and attendance records online.

STUDENT’S LIFE & ACTIVITIES
Not only focus on teaching knowledge, FPT Polytechnic
also promote unique and useful extracurricular activities to
enhance student life and help students in comprehensive
development, from which the learning is more effective.
Students are encouraged to participate in the club, from
academia, martial arts, sports, and the arts, depending on
the interests and aptitudes of students.

FPT Polytechnic partners with international organizations to
provide students with access to the world’s besteducational
materials and to integrate international standards and

FPT translates international textbooks and
publishes Vietnamese-language editions for
every subject in the program. Subjects range

Internationally recognized certifications

 FPT Polytechnic is the official ICDL Center for Educational
Testing in Viet Nam. According the agreement.
 FPT Polytechnic will translate the tools and textbooks for
the ICDL Office IT series into Vietnamese. FPT Polytechnic
students can take the ICDL certification exams and receive
certification right at school.

FPT is negotiating with Microsoft on a plan
to translate Microsoft’s Server
Administration textbook series and integrate
Microsoft server admin certification
programs into the FPT curriculum.

FPT Polytechnic also cooperates with some
news agencies to organize meaningful
activities and contests, creating exchange
opportunities for students nationwide.

• With 5 campuses in Vietnam, FPT
Polytechnic has developed a training
network with a wide area of availability to
meet the needs of young people in each
of the localities around the country.
• Across all five campuses, FPT Polytechnic
has over 107 classrooms including lecture
rooms, laboratory rooms and practice
rooms with the projector systems,
libraries, and hundreds of desktop
computers with high-speed internet and
other learning support systems. Each
classroom can accommodate up to forty
students and every laboratory room is
equipped forty desktop computers.
