- 2. FUTURE TENSE The future tense, believe it or not, describes events in the future. The future tense is formed in -ar, -er, and -ir verbs by adding the following endings to the infinitive form of the verb: -é, -ás, -á, -emos, -án Tomar – to take Tomaré, tomarás, tomará, tomaremos, tomarán Comer – to eat Comeré, comerás, comerá, comemos, comerán Escribir – to write Escribiré, escribirás, escribirá, escribiremos, escribirán
