The Office of Health Promotion and Wellness at the University of Alabama was established in 2007 to coordinate wellness resources and assess employee health needs. Its signature program, WellBAMA, provides health screenings, coaching, and education classes. A student project team conducted an employee needs assessment survey to help the Office refine its programs. The survey assessed program usage, satisfaction, and barriers to participation. It was distributed online and in-paper to over 1800 employees over two weeks in April 2012 to evaluate current programs and identify future health priorities.
